Field Trips &

Now reserving for classes and groups!

Bring your students to Children’s Storybook Garden & Museum for a farm and nature-based field trip experience filled with joy, exploration, discovery, and wonder! All our field trips are literature-based, hands-on, age-appropriate, and meet Common Core Standards. Our programs take place mostly outside, and a sampling of topics and explorations include: literacy, farm history, gardening, compost, seeds, plants, harvesting, tasting and cooking, bugs, butterflies, worms, and the senses.
Field trips may be scheduled with us all year long! We have two sessions available each weekday, at 9:30 AM and 12:00 PM, each lasting approximately 1.5 hours. On Wednesdays, we schedule after-school programs for groups to accommodate early release.

Gardens, pathways, and activities are accessible to all needs and abilities. All educational content for our field trips was created by a California certified teacher.

For specific questions, please call us at (559) 500-9966, or complete the registration form below.

New for the 2019-2020 school year! We now offer history field trips at our very own Farm History Museum, supporting 4th and 5th grade standards. Enjoy learning about the reasons people immigrated to California, the contributions of groups such as Native Americans and the Chinese, and the daily life of early settlers in our area. A highlight of the field trip is panning for gold!

Make sure to us know when completing the form below whether you want a science or history field trip!

Field Trip & After-School Program Guidelines

  • Field trips and student programs are only available for groups of 6 or more that register in advance. For smaller classes, please contact us for special arrangements and pricing.

  • Each class is $150.00. This includes admission for up to 30 students, one teacher, and two chaperones. Each additional adult chaperone or student is $5.

  • We can accommodate up to three same-grade classes at one time (for a total of 90 students).

  • Teachers, please communicate with parents that non-chaperone adults and children who are not in the class may not attend the field trip or after-school program.

  • We will do our best to reschedule in the event of rain. Being outside in the gardens creates a much more enthralling learning experience for the students. However, rescheduling is not required, as we are a rain or shine environment!

  • We will do our best to accommodate any special requests, where possible.
